DAUMA and the TORQUE motor: the winning choice

The history teaches that the technological solutions have always to be protected. Dauma responds with the patent of the application developed for the transfers of the series EVEREST.

The use of the TORQUE motor for the rotating table of machining transfers requires the resolution of some problems that are not present in the assembling applications.
The high value of the inertial mass, the vibrations produced by the tools, the entity of the strengths and moments produced, make it harder to use a direct drive motor because of the difficulty in the integration of a suitable encoder able to supply the requested precision in the angular positioning measurement.

Thanks to its own patented technological solution DAUMA is able to assure a precision in the angular positioning equal to 5/100 of second of degree (value measured at the customer site), joint with a flexibility without limits and a considerable reduction in the time "from chip to chip".
